Corn Pepian Recipe

Typical Peruvian dish that is served with white rice and is made from chicken and a very special sauce that we explain below, a very rich dish.

Ingredients to make Pepian de choclo:

 0.35 cup of Oil

 ½ kilogram of Chicken in pieces

 1½ cups of chopped onion

 1 teaspoon of ground garlic

 1 pinch of ground pickled chili pepper to taste

 1 bunch of Culantro (coriander)

 6 units of large corn

 1 pinch of salt

 1 pinch of Pepper

 1 bouillon cube with chicken magi cube

How to make Pepian de choclo:

Fry the onion, garlic, chili and then add the chicken until golden brown. It is important to turn the chicken so that it is done well on all sides.

Cover with the broth and boil for 15 minutes, add the previously blended and strained corn and coriander, stirring constantly until the mixture is shiny and shiny.

Serve the pepian de choclo along with rice and if you want to decorate with slices of hard-boiled egg.
